Scammonden Reservoir (Yorkshire Water) Public Access Improvements

In 2012 ATM were delighted to beat off stiff competition to secure a significant package of public access improvements at the high profile Scammonden Reservoir from Yorkshire Water Services.

Acting as CDM main contractor, ATM worked closely with the Yorkshire Water team to develop the preliminary design and install some 3500 linear meters of new and upgrade footpaths, involving extensive drainage, earth working, culverts and furniture, all with sympathetic integration into the existing landscape.

As part of Yorkshire Waters objectives an important element of the work was the inclusion of extensive DDA compliant footpaths dictating a high standard of design, development and installation.

The successful delivery of the project despite challenging ground and weather conditions has lead to ongoing phase 2 and 3 works to develop associated landscape features, fencing and car parks.
