Vegetation Clearance On The Upgrade of the A6182 White Rose Way in Doncaster

In 2009 ATM were delighted to build on a long term working relationship with Doncaster MBC and beat other tenders in a competitive bid process to secure the vegetation clearance on the essential upgrade of the A6182 White Rose Way between the M18 and Doncaster Lakeside. All existing scrub, woodland and hedges were cleared by ATM within tight timeframes and stringent ecological supervision and constraints due to the presence of water voles, reptiles and newts throughout the scheme.

Following the clearance works ATM tendered prices for the ecological exclusion fencing works and were successful in securing this contract. Working closely with the ecology team ATM erected over 3KM of water vole, grass snake and newt fencing, along with associated bucket trap, tiles, release pens and gates to allow trapping and relocation to take place.

After working with DMBC and the ecology team to maintain the enclosures and facilitate trapping works, ATM have now begun to remove fencing in cleared areas and allowed commencement of construction.

Following the announcement of funding for the phase 2 construction works in late 2012, ATM tendered for phase two and in January 2012 were pleased to be awarded these works. ATM looks forward to facilitating the construction of Phase 1 and Phase 2 over the next 24 months.
